Curiosity has got the better of me...there is a common theme throughout Ted's misdemeanors - the victimisation of squirrel-kind...oh but why...?? lovelovelovelovelovelove Ted by the way.
The truth behind Ted's secret squirrel vendetta is based on my real life hatred for one particular squirrel, who makes a point of standing on the branches of a tree just outside my window at work. I despise this squirrel. He flaunts his freedom while I'm chained to my desk. The little Bastard.
Another interesting note is that in reality, squirrels and gerbils are fairly close in relative size...which means that technically, Ted is about eight times bigger than a regular Gerbil...
Joe Butcher created The Purple
Gerbil by accident, when he was really attempting to do something
more important and politically accurate. He wanted to create
something beautiful, something meaningful. But all he could
squeeze out was a manically depressed purple rodent. Go Figure.
Joe currently resides in Birmingham, England, where there
is an abundance of filth and depravity, which Joe readily
adopts as the subject matter of his work.
